Roma vs Feyenoord
Both to score(BTS) 1.75
Roma could be content with a draw game away to Rotterdam last Thursday as it still makes them a slight favorite to progress now. The game itself was even more open than what the 1:1 scoreline says, especially in the first halftime when both tried with an attacking approach and the Dutch team took the lead first via Paixao towards the halftime whistle.
The Romans had a more cautious approach in the second but still managed to respond via Lukaku in the 67th minute for the final result. Talented midfielder Bove (22/0) is suspended now, while forward Abraham remains out since the start of the season.
Feyenoord reacted better when the game was more open, but didn’t manage to preserve the lead with the game going in a slower manner towards it’s end. They continued with rather impressive run in the Eredivisie, coming from a 1:0 home win over RKC Waalwijk last weekend, thanks to a late goal via Wieffer – late but totally deserved.
It was their third win in a row and are undefeated since early December being currently second – probably away from the title favorites PSV but with the Champions League locked second place as they stand eight points in advantage compared to third Twente. Goalkeeper Bijlow (13/0) is injured, same as defender Trauner (14/0), midfielders van den Belt (5/0) and Zechiel (2/0) and probably offensive Jahanbakhsh (9/0).
Roma is now a favorite to progress further ahead of the second leg but are nowhere close to a reliable side in the defense. Feyenoord is having more than fine potential in the attack and definitely won’t stay passive here, neither they have a real reason simply since they aren’t that much of an underdog.
